The annual Strawberry Music Festival, one of the biggest music festivals in China, will come back to Shenzhen in early December. The event brings China’s best indie, punk, metal and electronic talents to the big stage with a smattering of visitors from abroad.
This year’s lineup includes Franz Ferdinand, a Scottish indie rock band from Glasgow formed in 2002. The band has been notable for being one of the more popular post-punk revival bands, garnering multiple U.K. top 20 hits. They have been nominated for several Grammy Awards and have received two Brit Awards – winning one for Best British Group – as well as one NME Award.
Other bands and artists also include the Japanese band Nulbarich, Ding Wu, Miserable Faith, Omnipotent Youth Society, New Pants, Li Zhi, Tizzy T, Young Jack, Yoci Zeng, Vinida, Chen Li, Ara Kimbo, Sunset Rollercoaster, Queen Sea Big Shark, Mr. Sea Turtle, The Big Wave, Empty Class Group, CHIKENPEST, Hourglass Band, Shells Store, Miss Future, The Nut’s Queen, Way Life, and more.
