Chen Hongyu

Chen Hongyu majored in media studies in a college in Inner Mongolia before becoming a folk singer. He composed his first song in 2005 and has released three albums. His music is influenced by Hong Kong band Beyond and U.S. rock band Nirvana. His songs are popular for simple lyrics and catchy melodies.

Prairie WWWW

Prairie WWWW is a five-piece experimental folk band formed in Taipei in 2010. Its music combines poetry, folk, ambient and tribal elements. The band seeks inspiration from the might of nature, and with a mixture of sounds and visual arts in their performances, they manage to bring forward to their audience members the experience of their unique soundscape. The “WWWW” in the band name are not to be pronounced, serving as a pictogram for a waveform, as well as the imagery of the grass that blowing in the wind. Prairie WWWW has been performing in various events in Canada, the United States, Spain, Japan and Britain.

Mr. Sea Turtle

Mr. Sea Turtle is a Chinese rock band founded in 2004. With diversified genres and bright feel, their first EP “POGO Is No Better Than Dancing” was widely acclaimed. This EP was totally a hit and made Mr. Sea Turtle become one of the hottest and most important bands in China. In the end of 2012, Mr. Sea Turtle signed with Modern Sky Entertainment and then its self-titled album “Mr. Sea Turtle” was released and became another hit.
